Reflecting on the 2023 IAPB Congress

The 15th International Association for Plant Biotechnology Congress, held at the Daejeon Convention Center in Daejeon, South Korea from August 6-11, 2023, was a resounding success. The theme of the IAPB 2023 congress, "Driving the Future of Plant Biotechnology: From Test Tube to Field," resonated strongly with the 830+ participants from 24 countries who gathered to explore advancements in the field.

Co-organized by the IAPB Secretariat and the Korean Society for Plant Biotechnology, the conference provided a dynamic platform for sharing cutting-edge research, fostering collaborations, and envisioning the transformative potential of plant biotechnology.

Welcome Reception and Meeting of the National Correspondents

IAPB National and Regional Correspondents, along with Alternate Correspondents, convened at the 15th IAPB Congress held at the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) in Daejeon, Korea, on August 8, 2023. During the meeting, they voted and decided on the date and location for the 16th International Congress, which will take place from July 27-31, 2026, in Saskatoon, Canada, as proposed by the elected President, Dr. Pankaj Bhowmik.
